: HERE WHERE I LIVE I DO ALOT OF FLIPPING AND PITCHING JIGS AND TUBES INTO COVER LIKE WEEDS AND TIMBER AND DOCKS BUT WHEN YOU GUYS TOLD ME TUBE JIGS I DIDNT KNOW HOW I SHOULD FISH THEM ON THE LAKE CAN YOU TELL ME THANKS

Gitzit fishing as it is called on inland lakes is done with light weight jigs, rarely over 1/8 of an ounce. Lake Erie tubing is a different ball game usually using 1/2 ounce or more depending on water conditions. I like to drop my tube right off the side of the boat and let it hit bottom, i then jig with a fast jumping motion which will pull the jig off of the bottom about 1 or 2 foot. Most fish will hit on the drop so be prepared when you jig back up. My fishin partner like to cast his out about 30 or 40 feet and jig the same way ..both work well. remember do not think gitzit which is a finesse technique.
