Walleye fishing has began along the near shore of the waters near Walnut Creek PA. Aboard the "SeaWolf", rod in hand drifting and casting spinners tipped with night crawlers caught 30 nice walleye for these fokes.
Water depth 25 to 35 feet deep was best just to the west of Walnut Creek.

Fishing in the bay has found a good many large mouth bass caught on golden shinners and spinner baits.

Also active was a nice northern pike hitting a worm on a shinny silver spinner. Notice how the tail is all bloody. I have seen a few fish this year with the same problem. Along with a huge amount of dead sheephead.

Smallmouth bass in the lake has been fast then slow and now picking up again. Early May was fast and awsome for size. Never seen so many 20+ inch fish on the line. Most all were caught on golden shinners fished near the bottom. Drifting of course

Depth 15 to 35 feet east or west of Presque Isle. Find a nice rock pile anywhere in the PA waters near shore and there is a good chance smallmouth are there
