WALLEYE:
John Brogley brought this 11 pound ½ ounce Walleye in for weighing. It was 30 ½ inches long and had a 18 ¾ inch girth. He bled it so it probably went close to 12 pounds in all actuality. He was on the boat “Sandy Dee”. They were out in 61 ft of water straight out of Walnut Creek. His color was Pink Lady.

Diane Colwell of Emlenton came in with a nice one. It was 9 pounds 5 ½ ounces, 29 inches long and had a 17 ½ inch girth. She was on the “Lil Diddy” in 65 ft of water off Godfrey. Her color was fire tiger.

Donna Conlin came in with her first fish ever. It was 8 pounds 14 ounces and was 30 ¾ long and 15 ¾ inch girth. She was in 65 ft of water west of Godfrey. She was on the “Lil Diddy” too. Her color was chartreuse.

Brian Wade of Beaver Falls brought this nice 12 pound 10 ounce Walleye in for Citation. He caught it out in 72 ft of water north of Walnut Creek on a worm harness. It was 31 ½ inches long and had a girth of 19 inches. The color for him was black and purple.

That is all I have for this week. I didn't have any one bring in any Perch even though I know they were getting them. Most people are going out in 52-55 ft of water straight out of Walnut or just a little west. Also, I have heard quite a few people are getting some nice Perch off the Point.

There are no reports of Steelhead except the couple some boaters are getting in the deep waters yet. It is still a little too early yet for them to come in.

This weekend isn't going to be good for boating with the storm coming in. We have had 4-6 ft waves most of the week and then this weekend is no better. The Hurricane Ernesto is supposed to be coming through here on Sunday. Saturday is supposed to be gusting up to 35 knots and waves up to 10 ft. so it won't be boatable or fishable. Next week looks a little better with waves coming down on Monday and Tuesday to 2 ft or less. So, Happy Labor Day weekend.
