PERCH:

Girard resident Thomas Dzikowski brought in a 1 pound 9 ounce Perch for Angler Award. It was 14 inches long and had a girth of 10 inches. He caught it in 28 ft of water three miles off Trout Run on an Emerald Shiner.

The Perch seem to be hit and miss. I haven't heard of any real excellent catches in a long time. They seem to be evasive. The only numbers I know of are out in 50 -55 ft of water straight out of Walnut Creek.

WALLEYE:

Twelve year old Tyler Brown of Utica, PA brought in this 7 pound Walleye. He was fishing on the boat “Corky”. They were out in 60 ft of water East of Walnut Creek. He caught his on a night crawler and Blueberry Muffin.

The same for Walleye as for the Perch. When they are on, they are catching like crazy. But when they shut down no one can catch them. Some boats are getting them in close and some are going out to the first trench and getting them.
