STEELHEAD:

Lynn Bell of Indiana, Pa brought in this nice 8 pound 6 ounce Steelhead. It was 28 inches long. He caught it at Trout Run on skein.

The creeks are low and clear. We have had no rain for quite a while. The boats trolling in front of the creeks aren’t even having much luck. We are supposed to get some rain this coming week so maybe that will bring in some in.

The weather forecast has rain on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 40% so hopefully we get it.

BROWN TROUT:

Dean Keffer of Claysville brought in a nice Brown Trout. It was 8 pounds 5 ½ ounces, 26 ½ inches long and had a girth of 16 inches. He caught it on the Southside of the marina in Walnut Creek on power bait. His color was green.

WALLEYE:

Twelve year old Megan McQuaid from Edinboro came in and received an Angler Award for her 9 pound Walleye. It was 29 ½ inches long and had a girth of 17 inches. She caught it out in 70 ft of water off Trout Run on a Fire Tiger plug.

Ten year old Aaron McQuaid from Edinboro received and Angler Award for his 7 pound 7 ounce Walleye. It was 27 inches long and had a girth of 15 inches. He caught his in 70 ft of water off Elk Creek on a Fire Tiger plug.

The Walleye are hard to find anymore. I have some boaters say they think they are returning to Ohio. You can still find a couple here and there but I haven’t heard of anyone finding a big school.

PERCH:

The Perch seem to be out in 50-60 ft of water off Trout Run, Elk Creek and out of Walnut Creek. They are slow picking though. I heard they are nice sized too but no one brought any in for Citation.
